Can baby wipes be used to clean a puppy with vaginitis?

My vet gave Zayda some antibiotics and told me to keep the area clean. Are baby wipes gentle and “ok” to clean her up after she urinates? Or should I be safe and just stick with a wet paper towel?
Any advice is appreciated!

My
name is Lesli Paterson, right now I live in Oregon, I have 2 kids a 4
year old boy and a 2 year old.
I would imagine *unscented* baby wipes would be perfectly fine.
ADDED: I have been advised by my vet that using the unscented ones on my dog’s face when she had “puppy acne” was fine, but it is a good idea to make sure with yours, like the others said.
If it’s safe to use on diaper rash, I think it would be safe to use on your dog. I would go with unscented though and paper towel may be rough for it’s skin. The wipes probably feel better.
I think you should ask your vet before using baby wipes. They are PH balanced for baby’s skin.. not dogs.
Some of the products in baby wipes, such as lanolin may cause an allergic reaction and may make things worse for your pup.
Use a wet paper towel for now until your vet advises you otherwise.
Hello, they will be safe as long as you use unscented as the fragrances could make your puppy break out.
Do they have anything that people use for pregnant dogs that might work? I agree with Nekkid that it might not be good to use the baby wipes without checking with the vet to make sure the ingredients are safe.
I would see if there are some that are made specifically for canines.
Poor little Zayda butt! Hope she feels better soon!
