Just to review, bacterial vaginosis is when the good bacteria in your vagina is overrun with bad bacteria. There are some known symptoms and complications from having bacterial vaginosis. Some of the symptoms are vaginal smell (fishy odor), discharge, stomach pain. All these can be attributed to bacterial vaginosis.
If you are pregnant and diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis you have a higher risk of delivery prematurely, or having a child with low birth weight.

Also if you are going to be having surgery, having BV can sometimes increase the chance of a growing infection after surgery. If you are sexually active you are more likely to contract HIV if you have Bacterial vaginosis. There are many more complications and I have only listed a few, which is why I recommend treating this condition aggressively and all natural.
