Hi I hope Im not too late answering.... I have had a long battle with it also and there is a few things that you can do that my doctor told me to do. Ok well do you shave down there? If you do then stop using any scented shaving lotion. I like Aveeno. Also stop washing with any scented soaps and use dial antibacterial soap. Don't use the dial too much or it can really mess you up down there. I would only wash with that soap at the most three times a week. Also men can carry bad bacteria on his penis also and he can transfer to you and then the infection starts back over again. So I would make sure that you have your husband/boyfriend wash with the dial soap some also.

I hope I helped some.

Aw, same here. I am on my second round of Cleocin after having taken them a month or so ago. I hope this will take care of it for good. I am seeing if wearing "normal" undies instead of thongs will help, since I had read something about that being a factor in recurrence. I have heard that douching is not a good idea though, but have not heard of those other remedies. I am interested in that rephresh gel that another mentioned. I might try that. Sorry I don't have a solution for you, just wanted you to know you aren't the only one! Take care

Ok, a "friend" of mine had it and had to keep taking metronidazole, but it kept coming back. "She" was told it had to do with her pH. What worked for me, I mean 'her', was this over the counter stuff called repHresh gel. So I-I mean "she" used it after the antibiotics, then again after her period, it can even be used at other times. But it really helped, it restores the pH in the vaginal tract, it is totally safe and I totally recommend it. I forgot how much it cost though, but it comes with several pre-filled applicators used at bedtime. Here is the homepage if you want to see what the box looks like, like I said it worked for um, 'her' but may not work for everyone-no product works for everyone but since it's mild it is totally worth a try!

Ok, so I never had this before after having two kids. I would say using a mild soap in the shower. After you get out make sure you dry really well. Try not sleeping with panties on so you can let yourself air dry overnite while you're sleeping.
